Areas of interest: general surgery, pre and postoperative of the surgical patient; minimally invasive surgery; endocrine surgery; metabolic (diabetes) surgery; morbid obesity surgery; and esophageal surgery.

She has specialized in metabolic surgery for the treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus or type 2.
